About Us

Beth O'Neill

I have been a member of a corporate HR team since 2011, in a company that has grown from 2,300 team members to a population of 5,000 team members, and I have expertise in payroll, benefits, and leave management in a multi-state environment.  I have experience with HR laws and regulations in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and Pennsylvania. I  live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have taken Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) classes, and I am in the process of gaining a multi-state Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) designation through the Disability Management Employer Coalition.

Help for Small Businesses in California

Do you employ between 5 and 49 people? Are you aware of your legal employment requirements under HIPPA, PDL, CFRA, ADA, COBRA, and FLSA?  Have you developed an employee handbook?  Do you know your record retention requirements?  Do you conduct sexual harrassment training sessions for your employees and supervisors?  Contact me for a brief consultation regarding your HR requirements for your business in California. I will help you prevent employment dispute lawsuits.

Help for Medium to Large Employers in California

If you have 50 or more employees, there are more legal requirements to follow than Small Businesses.  You have all of the same legal responsibilities as a small business, as well as responsibilities under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA also known as ACA or Obamacare) and Federal Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  Contact me for a policy and handbook review.

COVID-19 and Your Responsibilities to Your Employees

California COVID paid sick leave, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and how it affected your Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) responsibilities, the declared state of emergency and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)... the COVID pandemic has added and changed employment laws in California and the United States since March of 2020, and you can expect the laws to continue to change as long as this pandemic continues.  Contact me for a brief summary of what responsibilities you are required to follow that you may not be aware of at this moment.
